These Terms govern your use of hoblets.com, the Hoblets desktop and mobile apps, and related hosted services (the “Service”). The Service is provided by RETAILER LLC (“Hoblets,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Hoblets was previously called Kommandr; the operating company remains the same.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use Hoblets for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it, and “you” includes that organization.
Provide accurate account information, protect your account and connected-service credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share access in a way that bypasses account, subscription, or security restrictions.
2. What Hoblets provides
Hoblets provides configurable AI teammates (“Hoblets”), conversations, saved memory, scheduled routines, and access to a hosted workspace computer. Features may differ between web, desktop, and mobile or be identified as previews or early access.
We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes while you comply with these Terms and any applicable subscription. The Service is subject to technical capacity, storage, concurrency, and usage limits shown in the product or plan.
The Service can change, experience downtime, or become temporarily unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular model, or that a routine will run at an exact time. Maintain separate copies of important work.
3. Connected AI providers and services
You connect your own eligible AI-provider account. Hoblets membership does not include a Codex, Claude Code, or other third-party subscription or its usage allowance. Your provider’s terms, eligibility, model access, rate limits, and charges remain applicable. Connecting an account is not a promise of unlimited use or continuing access.
Chat, tool use, and background memory preparation can consume your connected provider’s allowance. You are responsible for provider and other third-party charges you authorize. Plugins, connected apps, and sites opened in your workspace are separately operated; installing or listing them does not make Hoblets their operator or guarantee their performance.
4. AI output and automated actions
Hoblets act on the instructions, permissions, and connections you provide. They can read or change files, interact with websites, run commands, and use connected services. Scheduled routines may act while you are away. Review the scope of an instruction before enabling it, and pause or remove routines you no longer want.
AI can misunderstand instructions, make factual mistakes, or take unintended actions. Review important output and verify consequential actions. Do not rely on Hoblets as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, employment, or other decisions that require qualified judgment, or for emergency or safety-critical use.
You must have authority to access the accounts, information, and systems you ask a Hoblet to use. Takeover and permission controls help you supervise work, but they do not guarantee that every action can be prevented, reversed, or recovered.
5. Membership, renewal, and cancellation
The current standard membership is US$30 per month plus applicable tax. Your checkout shows the price, billing period, taxes, and any discount before you subscribe. By completing a recurring-subscription checkout, you authorize the disclosed recurring charges until you cancel. Billing is handled through Stripe unless a different purchasing channel is expressly offered.
You can cancel renewal through the billing portal available in your account’s membership settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, and access continues until then. If you cannot access the portal, contact support@hoblets.com for assistance. Uninstalling the app or disconnecting an AI provider does not cancel membership.
Except where required by law or expressly stated in an offer, fees already paid are not automatically refunded for an unused portion of a billing period. Contact us about billing errors or refund requests; this does not limit statutory cancellation, withdrawal, or refund rights. Failed or overdue payments may result in restricted access or a paused workspace.
Price changes apply prospectively. We will give notice of a recurring price increase before it takes effect and obtain consent where required, so you can decide whether to continue or cancel.
6. Your content and our software
As between you and Hoblets, you retain your rights in content you provide. We do not claim ownership of your files, instructions, conversations, or memories. You grant us permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Service and carry out your instructions.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to provide content, including information about other people. Rights in AI-generated output may depend on applicable law and the connected provider’s terms; output may not be unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection.
We and our licensors retain rights in the Service’s software, design, branding, and other materials we provide. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses. These Terms do not restrict rights granted to you under those licenses.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to:
Break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or access accounts or systems without permission.
Commit fraud, impersonate people deceptively, send unlawful spam, distribute malware, or facilitate harassment or exploitation.
Bypass security, provider restrictions, membership requirements, or technical limits, or interfere with other customers or the Service.
Use the hosted computer for cryptocurrency mining, abusive traffic generation, or unrelated resale of its computing capacity.
Upload or process regulated information that requires a separate agreement or compliance arrangement we have not expressly accepted, or use Hoblets in a way that requires certifications the Service does not offer.
Good-faith security concerns can be reported to support@hoblets.com. Do not access other customers’ information or disrupt the service to demonstrate an issue.
8. Suspension, termination, and data
You may stop using Hoblets, cancel membership, and request account deletion. Canceling membership and deleting an account are separate actions. To request deletion or help retrieving your information, contact support@hoblets.com. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach, nonpayment, security risk, abuse, or a legal requirement. When practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Urgent protective action may be taken without advance notice.
We may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice where practical. If we permanently end a paid service for reasons other than your breach, we will refund any prepaid fees attributable to the unused discontinued period, subject to any greater rights required by law. Export or save important content before access ends; indefinite storage after termination is not promised.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that AI output will be accurate or that the Service will be error-free, secure against every threat, or suitable for every use.
These disclaimers do not exclude warranties, guarantees, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees.
10. Limits of liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits arising from these Terms or the Service.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amounts you paid to Hoblets for the Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited. They do not remove mandatory consumer rights.
11. Changes, disputes, and other terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or law. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes before they apply, except where an immediate change is needed for legal or security reasons. Where required, we will ask for agreement. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the Service and cancel renewal.
Please contact us first about a dispute so we can try to resolve it. These Terms do not require mandatory arbitration, waive class-action rights, or prevent you from using a court or regulator available under applicable law.
These Terms, the terms disclosed at checkout, and any separate agreement we sign with you form our agreement for the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. Provisions that by their nature need to survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations already incurred, and lawful liability limitations, survive.
Apple and other distribution platforms are not parties to this agreement. Their applicable platform and standard app-license terms may also apply to your download or use; these Terms do not replace mandatory platform terms.
